01.17 | 6AM - 10AM: Rounding up the first week of season six

BEWARE! If you haven't seen the first four episodes of season six, there's spoilers everywhere at the moment. Including in the links in this post.
First of all, here's a good round-up of the events that took place between seasons five and six and the major plot points from the first four hours.
Taylor Marsh asks if the right-wing will turn on Jack Bauer this season.
Kiefer Sutherland and Kim Raver attended the Golden Globes this week. '24' picked up no awards whatsoever and even got beaten in the ratings. Here's some photos of the pair in their posh frock and tuxedo:

Time Magazine writes about the evolution of Jack Bauer:
So is '24' a conservative show? Yes, in the sense that the thriller is a conservative genre. Ticking time bombs and pure-evil bad guys make for exciting TV. Working patiently to improve America's image in the Muslim world--not so much. (Maybe Aaron Sorkin could spice it up with an office romance and lots of walk-and-talks.) Muddy a terrorism thriller with liberal concern over root causes and you get Syriana, whose plot audiences couldn't follow with a GPS device. "The politics of the show," says executive producer Howard Gordon (a registered Democrat), "are narrative politics."
There's also a couple of new '24' fan sites and blogs. The best has to be the NSFW OMFG! 24, but there's also the Jack Bauer Torture Report.
If you're a fan of those crap promotional tie-in prequels, you can now enjoy the CTU Rookie. It's a series of shorts, updated and filmed by the '24' production team. I'm not sure if it's meant to be funny or not. Anyway, where's my deodorant?
Finally, read Jack Bauer's descent into Hell. It's good.
