10.18 | '24' team to produce 'NSA Innocent' pilot for Fox

Here's news of a new show from Bob Cochran, Joel Surnow and Howard Gordon: 'NSA Innocent'.

The creative minds behind '24' are cooking up another tale of espionage for one unlucky soul - but this time, he's no Jack Bauer.

Tentatively titled 'NSA Innocent,' the thriller has scored a put pilot commitment from Fox.

'NSA Innocent' revolves around an Everyman who winds up being recruited by the NSA - and forced to spy.

20th Century Fox TV will produce, along with Real Time Prods. '24' co-creator Bob Cochran is onboard to write 'NSA Innocent' with David Ehrman ('JAG').

Cochran's '24' cohorts - Joel Surnow and Howard Gordon - will exec produce along with Cochran and Ehrman.

Cochran and Ehrman both worked on 'JAG,' 'The Commish' and 'La Femme Nikita.'

This has got me thinking that maybe this is why so many characters were killed off on '24' last season - maybe they just want good actors for their new show. After all, we know a lot of the old 'La Femme Nikita' cast were reused on '24'. Maybe Carlos Bernard will star?
