03.04 | More rumours that '24' will be filming in London.... again.

Every year it's the same bloody rumours: Jack dies this season, we'll make a movie this season, '24' will film in London next season.

American TV drama 24 is expected to head to London to film episodes during which hero Jack Bauer goes head to head with UK terrorists.

The hit series, starring Hollywood star Kiefer Sutherland, is based in real time, and the show's bosses insist Britain's current terror fears would make great television.

Executive producer Howard Gordon says, "We flirted with going to London last year for six episodes. It's something I'd love to try next year."

It must be so easy working in the Fox press office.

They could just have Jack in London for the last 6 hours as a "special guest". Somehow Jack has to disappear by the end of the series. What better way then to extradite him to another country...

Well some military planes go a hell of a lot faster than commercial airlines so it is very possible.

Can Edgar have a twin living in London? Maybe by chance he is married to a Michelle look-alike. Maybe they are computer nerds in London so we can have them back at London CTU.

Hi..24 rules, and I love the show very much! But now that Michelle Dessler isn't there any more, then there isn't that much kepping me from not watching it any more! She is best and I hate that she is dead!!! No point!

I'm one of the few (ok, maybe "few" is overdoing it a bit) that has watched every 24 episode on the night it aired since season 1 and I am a HUGE Tony fan, I'm pretty sure he's the best character ever and the fact that he's DEAD does not make me happy! Oh, and it will definitely be interesting to see how London works into the story line...

What can I say, I think I have turned in to a fanatic mental patient who is unable to watch anything on tv other than 24, its like an addiction, but when you can spend many hours in the day watching beauties like Jack Bauer (Kiefer) and Tony Almiader(Carlos) what else do you need!!!!!

Given the unfortunate deaths of lead characters during this season of 24, 24 still has a huge canvass to work with in developing future episodes beyond this season's. But 24 will have to leave Los Angeles, per se, as LA is getting old, as being portrayed as the only place in the nation, or the world, where such events take place. Jack will have to leave LA for other parts of the country, even for other areas of the world, where he will inadvertently come across and track down previous season's hanging/dangling unsolved leads, as well as dealing with new ventures/villains. There are many cities across the world (such as London) which can host the necessary action and intrique required of 24. Perhaps in between the remaining seasons would be the proper times to release full featured motion pictures of 24, which would not be restricted to a 24-hour format, and could delve more deeply into plot lines and twists and characters, yet at the end of each movie, leave the audience "hanging" until the following season of 24, where the "hanging" is resolved, yet not entirely, with new spinoffs into new directions, dove-tailing perfectly into the next movie, then into the next season, etc, etc. The next potential three years of 24 could be a fantastically orchestrated white-knuckled roller-coaster ride. 24 still has a huge canvass to work with, and can not only be very entertaining over these next years, but revealing as well, as to the REAL CONSPIRATORS behind the REAL CONSPIRACY. And there's no one better suited to take them down .. than Jack Bauer!

Just with reference to one of the earlier comments, getting Jack out of the UK, back to the states can happen in les than 2 hours. Anyone remember the SR-71 Blackbird New York to London speed record set in August 1974?? Christ I'm getting old, but Jack looks an ideal candidate for the Sr-71 to me. I just hope the blackbird with jack cruising at Mach 3, at the tip of the stratosphere will be immune from god knows what will be thrown at him for those 120 or so minutes....
