01.03 | Kiefer Sutherland photographed drunk in London by tabloid newspaper
Kiefer Sutherland has been caught drinking - with pals! - in a hotel bar by the Sunday Mirror. After a seven hour binge, he ended the night by trashing a large Christmas tree.
He ordered yet more booze on room service, then staggered around the entrance hall, entertaining pals with a bizarre, flailing breakdancing routine.
It was then that a huge Christmas tree caught his eye.
"I hate that f***ing Christmas tree," he declared. "The tree HAS to come down."
Kiefer warned staff: "I'm smashing it - can I pay for it?"
A staff member replied: "I'm absolutely sure you can, sir."
...and a happy new year!
Sheer class, Mister Sutherland, sheer class.

Honestly, the British tabloids will try make a big deal out of anything! 99% of the male population of the world that have regular access to alcohol have got drunk and done something stupid like that. Why should Kiefer not be allowed to act dumb now and again!

Absolutely MacLeod. This is a complete non-story, which is par for the course for the Mirror.
It's good to remind ourselves that these celebs are just regular folk who go and do regular things.
Trashing the tree was a stroke of genius, though. Who doesn't feel like doing that at some point thru the Xmas period?! I'd love to have been there!

So what, he got drunk. Who hasn't.. We, a bunch of friends of mine and myself, once took an instant dislike to a singing X-mas tree at Bugaboo Creek. That one too didn't live to tell about it.
Hey, at least he 1) asked first, 2) offer up to pay for the damages.

There was a time when studios required actors to sign a morals clause, to prevent actors from performing such antics. It's one thing to get blasted in the privacy of one's home, but to act in such a manner in a public place, and then to vandalize private property, well...not very becoming behavior, IMHO. Kiefer impresses me as an intelligent man, but his behavior does not match his intelligence.
It appears that as far as FOX is concerned, as long as Kiefer fulfills his obligations to the network and to the series, and as long as the series is successful, they don't seem to care HOW Kiefer acts in his off time.
Something to think about...

I think he's fine again, so... He was drunk and He made bad things, but I don't think we can judge his acts! Are we some kind of god??? Please, before judge someone, try to understand the reasons why... Thank you!
Well, I think he's an inteligent man and I can not understand how his bad acts change this fact... Is he a superman? I don't think so!!! So, he can fail like anyone!

I really like Kiefer Sutherland.He is a great actor I would like to meet him but I still would like to find out more about him. :)
