05.18 | '24' renewed for season five in 2006
'24' will continue to run on Fox for a minimum of two more seasons, it was announced today.
Season 5 will start on Fox in January 2006. Which, from the end of season four, is an eight month wait. The show will be in kept in its '9PM on Monday nights' slot, so it is possible that the fifth season premiere will be broadcast on Monday January 9th 2006. Unless - like season four - there's a special two hour episode broadcast on the previous Sunday night. Who knows, eh? It's too far in the future to worry about.
My wife and I conside 24 to be the best show ever produced. We eagarly wait for Monday night and will not answer the phone. Please keep this show going as for us it is heaven.
Also we miss some of the first characters. We became television friends with them. Their contribution are missed.

Hey is Kiefer Sutherland going to be in any more seasons of 24, the final episode of season 4 has just been aired here in the uk and i kno he is appreantly dead and u see him walk off into the sunset and you are never going to here the name jack bauer again. But i don't think 24 will suceed without him, it is an amazing show, with an amazing cast and amazing writers but kiefer sutherland is jack bauer and jack bauer is 24 please tell me the truth do u know if he is in it or not cos i need to kno. and wat r your opinions ???

jack i DEFINATLEY coming back the co. writer has confirmed it. i love 24 and i will cry when 6 season is over i cant live without 24... but 24 official website have dropped hints about 24 being made into a movie with completly new story lines I CANT WAIT ( as long as jack is in it )

will kiefer sutherland play jack in the movie he has to it will boost his career so much i mean kiefer hasnt rly been in tht many hit but 24 has sky rocketed him into the limelight and he is good again, he has to play jack in the movie i also reckon they shud get the season one original stars with Dennis Haysbert playing the president. are they definatly only making up to season 6, i kno it has to end sumtime but no one wants it to , i spose tht season 6 they will make the best ever but how can they improve on what has already been every season passes and i cant choose a favourite

omg are you sure its only going up to season 6?!??!?! i watched the last ep in season 4 and i was so upset when i thout jack was dead but i knew he would av a plan up his sleve! he betta b in the next series and i cant live without it is it ending on series 6??????

There is TV and then there is 24.........if you are a producer reading this, realise this, 24 is the most gripping, compelling and addicitve format TV show in the history/future of TV. In the UK, I have converted so many friends similar to myself, as in, not big TV watchers, but 24 addicts..I know people say as above 'jack must be in it!' I agree but over 4 incredable seasons you have continued to confound the avid viewer, so do what you see right and what you see as best, dont rock a winning formula! Can you also change the US constitusion to bring back David Palmer?

24 is the best series ever shown on T.V. The suspense ans twists are incredible - who would have through that Nina was a mole? Every season has been terrific - but not too sure about season 4 -what happened to Deena's son, Bherouz?
Can't wait for season 5 - i've heard that keifer will definitely be in it - a series of 24 without him just wouldn't work. Hopefully after season 6, more seasons will be written. from jj 28/6

24 is obsessive. Having bought all four seasons on dvd, i am now watching them all over again. jack as well as tony are essential characters - they started together in season 1 and know where the other one is 'coming from'. they are both very popular with viewers and carlos bernard was on the richard and judy show the other day.
How jack will be brought back is intriguing - but i'm sure the writer will find a way. anyway, fellow fans, we'll just have to wait till it's aired next year.

This show is soooo good it has to keep going. i love how season 4 sort of has a bit of everything fro mhte ohter seasons except perhaps 3, with the assassination attempt, the nuke, and so forth. What else can you do, it makes me wonder. Looking 4ward to the forthcoming seasons, keep up with the fantastic directing, and tension you create. BRAVO!!!! i aplorde you!!!

REGARDING BEHROOZ: I READ IN THE TV GUIDE THAT THEY DELETED A SCENE IN SEASON 4 WHERE JACK BAUER WAS TOLD AUTHORITIES HAD RESCUED BEHROOZ AND THAT HE WAS OKAY. SORRY THAT SCENE HAD TO BE DELETED BECAUSE IT MADE US ALL WONDER.

I HAVE A SPOILER FROM SEASON 5:
season five will start off with someone or something being killed for example a building or a important person the first few episodes will tell what has been happening with jack from what i have heard is that he has found himself yet another girlfriend who has a child but jack and him do not get on

How about this for a Season 5 plot.....
David Palmer (who, if you remember has only served one term in office) has been re-elected in opposition to the dreadful president at the end of Season 4 and seeks out Jack Bauer (who is in hiding in Mexico or somewhere) to help manage the crisis that "Tim" above mentions...
Thoughts?

OH MY GOD!!! 24 is the best tv show EVER!! i have become inlove with Jack and all the other characters, it is like i am there with them and i feel how they feel. I cry when they cry and i laugh when they laugh!! I was soo sad when terri died and i couldn't get it out of my head, i felt soo bad for kim and jack. Also i felt bad for Tony and Michelle when Tony went to jail. I wish i could be there for one of the shootings, it would mean the world to me!! I can never wait for mondays it is like i am in heaven, i never answer the phone, i even take it off the hook! omg this show is soo amazing and i would like it to air forever!!! please!! i love u kiefer!!!!

i am the biggest fan of 24 man i love season 1 and 2 as they are the best seasons of all times but i even love the other seasons. the only show i watch is 24. but for everybody who loves 24 as much as me i have a suprise for them. here goes. In a newspaper artical i read that 24 season 4 was a big hit so the 14 producers have decided that after season 5 they are going to make a 14 movie which will carry on from season 5 and lead onto season 6. this is wicked. can't wait.

24 is awesome! I feel that it is one of the best, if not the best, television show that I have ever seen. I love the suspense, the fast action, and the gripping stories. I really like the characters too. My husband and I found out about 24 in Season 4. We liked it so much we borrowed Season 2 and 3 from a friend and watched all of that in a short amount of time. A heart wrenching scene in Season 3 even made me cry. What drama! Of course since we watched Season 2 and 3 we also had to see the very beginning, so we bought Season 1 on DVD. We have since seen that in its entirety and are now eagerly awaiting Season 5. Unfortuneately it looks like we're going to have to wait a while. Kiefer, keep'em coming!

24,wow wow wow i missed the first two seasons decided to watch season 3 and i loved it instantly the thrilling climaxs exciting scenes you name it. so watched the other two and they were just as good, the only down side is that i live in N.Z and here season 4 is nearly out so cant wait!!!!! what ive heard about season 5 and 6 and a possible movie sounds sooooo exciting, Kiefer Sutherland you are the man! stay in that show forever!

Sorry to spoil the party, but 24 is not and cannot be anywhere near as good as season 1. It has mutated into a literally unbelievable series, and the effect of the real time element has disappeared. It's supposed to be the longest day of Jack's life. How on earth can he have six of them? Season one was plausible and brilliant; the others have been disappointing by comparison and the future ones will too.

The show is the best of all times. No other show can compare with the drama, action and intensity this show possess. I heard since Jack is supposedly dead, the producers will do a prequel of 24 in the start of the 2006 season. Is there any truth to that??

Iīm from spain and iīm a fanatic of 24, i think is the best show of TV. in spain comes later than USA and i canīt never wait and i see it in english. the first season is good, the second is fantastic, the thirth is wonderful, but the four is... i havenīt words in english. i canīt wait, i need more and more of jack bauer, thank you for this show.

I consider this the best show ever made on TV, I watch 2 shows a week "24" AND "Medium" I cannot wait until Monday nights so please nevber ever ever consider cancelling this show. Unless you do not have Kiefer on it, in which case go ahead.

Just wanted to say, i really enjoyed season 4 and i cant wait for season 5. We love 24 down here in the middle east, Dubai to be precise. Too bad i have to wait till its out on DVD to enjoy it :(
Anyway, if you get a chance go and buy yourself all three seasons to catch up if you've been a cave somewhere and be ready for season 5.

24 is the best show ever! My friends and mother started wondering how I got hooked on it, since I seldom watch TV. Well, Season Four for the first show, I had everyone over and well, they discovered how awesome 24 is and since then, Monday nights, we call each other during the commercials...."Can you BELIEVE what happened???, etc". This show is just amazing. Season Five is gonna be fantastic too, so you better put on the seat belts and get ready for the ride. I've loved Keifer since he played in "Young Guns"....This show has everything: action, thrills, a bit of humor, a bit of love, and is always full of surprises.

Just finished watchin all 4 series of 24... My god 24 is totally awesome... I actually spent my money on something decent for once!!! I must say I loved all 4 seasons especially 3 and 4. the only thing is... all this terrorist thing is aimed for the middle east.... its a bit cruel, but ho hey!!!!!!

24 is simply stunning......I hear that Jack will not be in season 6.....I also hear that Edgar will also be gone for season 6....Apparently there will be a new hero in 24......He will also be a high profiler like keifer sutherland......i think i know who it is....i have good sources....Here is a clue: He is the only actor ever never to die in a movie!!!!

fox has sign a huge 3 year deal with kiefer and has pick up the show for season six and if ratings are still good season dont b surpise if there a 7th season.8th season is a push rite now.part of the deal make kiefer a exuecutive producer meaning kiefer may not star in new series but he will make new series that are not related to 24.thx 4 readingpardonmyspelling

As far as season 6 is concerned. I think it can be successful as long as it is not an absolutely rediculous plot involving killing off like 6 key characters like season 5. I hope season 6 holds to be as good as the others but i have my doubts. Jack's fate is unclear....we know he wont die...but i dont see how season 6 will start. anyone have any ideas

From the way i see it, its very likely that the season 6 will be focused on getting jack rescued from the Chinese. CTU will be hard to function without bring jack back and 24 will be boring without jack.
If season 6 is really the last season, a lot of tv viewers will be greatly disappointed, maybe we should all write to the producer and beg him to bring in a least a few more seasons

Truly, I have watched many movies but 24 is un comparable!!! I love Jack. I have never been glued to the screen for so long in my life. I remember trans-knighting when watching season 2 and 3. This is marvelous work!!!
