You can find another eleven screengrabs at gamespot.com.

UPDATE: As one helpful soul posted under the last post, you can watch a three minute long flash video preview of the game - with Kiefer Sutherland intro and in-game footage - by going to playstationstudios.com/24 and logging in with the username 'preview' and the password 'C3%qt24'. The password is case-sensitive, by the way - copying and pasting it from here is probably your easiest option.

03.30 | Sony Europe Confirms '24': The Video Game for Playstation

The countdown has begun to the release of '24': The Game' on PlayStation 2. Sony Computer Entertainment Europe today announced an exclusive licence deal with Twentieth Century Fox to bring the acclaimed show '24' onto PlayStation 2. Set to become the biggest action adventure game of the year, '24': The Game' lets gamers take control and live a 'brand new day' in the life of Jack Bauer and the Los Angeles Counter Terrorist Unit (CTU).

This is fantastic news. Here's the press release. Hopefully it''ll turn out to be as good as Grand Theft Auto, with added Jack Bauer.

You'll be pleased to know that the game will use the voices and likenesses of Kiefer Sutherland, Elisha Cuthbert, Carlos Bernard and other actors from the show.

A specially-written script has been penned by Duppy Demetrius, who wrote episode 22 - 5AM to 6AM - of season two and episode 6 - 6PM to 7PM - of season three.

CVG Online points out:

In terms of timeline, the game is set between seasons two and three and, says Sony, "provides the answers to many unanswered questions: who was really behind the assassination attempt on President Palmer? How did Kim Bauer get a job in the LA CTU? How did Jack Bauer and Chase Edmunds first start working together?"

Total Video Games reveals that there is footage of the game out there:

The preview video that we were able to watch included in-game footage that showed some really good character modelling as well as Los Angeles flyovers.
Hopefully this footage will get leaked on the web.

To round this off, here's two more stories from Gaming Target and Total Gaming.

As soon as the first screenshots are released, you'll be able to see them on this site. Stay tuned.

03.30 | Why '24' is the best show on television

Bloggers speak: On the one hand, what is the deal with Jack Bauer this season on '24'? Seriously, he is about five and half years older than he was when the show first started, so he's way into his mid-40s. If I'm still running around like that when I'm in my mid-20s, I'll be happy.

On the other hand, here's why '24' is the best show on television. Some of us had worked this out in 2001. Still, it's nice to see that newer fans are just as enthusiastic about the programme.

03.29 | The Pope watches '24' on his Tivo

Only tangentially '24' related:

"You see, when the Pope was in the hospital for several weeks he got behind on a few of his television shows. We Tivo'd a few and this Sunday he happened to be catching up on '24' – the non-stop event. His Holiness does like that Jack Bauer."
Apparently the Pope watches '24'.

03.25 | Behind the Scenes of “24” with Kim Raver and Shohreh Aghdashloo

Kim Raver
It just feels like it gets faster and faster, the speed keeps picking up. It's amazing that we're shooting #21 right now
For some reason, about.com has published two new interviews with Kim Raver - Audrey Raines in '24' - and Shohreh Aghdashloo - Dina Araz - from the premiere of the Sandra Bullock movie 'Miss Congeniality 2'. No idea why.

Well, Aghdashloo is in a new movie alongside Bullock, so maybe that's why.

No plot spoilers, so UK viewers are OK to click away.

03.21 | '24's Shohreh Aghdashloo to star with Keanu Reeves

Oscar-nominated actress Shohreh Aghdashloo, John Corbett and Ebon Moss-Bachrach have joined the cast of "Il Mare" for Warner Bros. Pictures and Village Roadshow.

They join Keanu Reeves, Sandra Bullock and Christopher Plummer in the "Il Mare," which is the working title for the project. The film is based on the 2000 Korean romance/sci-fi feature "Siworae." The story revolves around two people (Reeves and Bullock) who fall in love via a mysterious mailbox.

With Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock, here's hoping Il Mare will be as good as 'Speed'. Sad to see that Shohreh Aghdashloo is playing a doctor and not a terrorist mastermind, though .

03.18 | Like Jack, if I could be like Jack

Blogger Andy writes of six reasons why he wants to be Jack Bauer. Here's his best one.

I don't think I know a single girl (or a married one) who knows Jack Bauer and doesn't want to jump right on his weiner.
That's a good enough reason for me.

03.16 | '24' Actress Defends Portrayal of Muslims

shohreh.jpg

I swear that this is the last time I'll write about '24', Muslims and Public Service Announcements...

Shohreh Aghdashloo, who plays Dina Araz, recently appeared on Fox News' 'Dayside with Linda Vester' to discuss the show's portrayal of a Muslims living in the United States. Ahmed Younis, national director of the Muslim Public Affairs Council, also appeared.

You can watch a video of the 'debate' by clicking the 'video' button next to the headline on this page.

Isn't it good of Fox News to have a 'fair and balanced' discussion between two people who are essentially arguing the same thing and yet it leaves you thinking that both sides are wrong?

03.16 | Upcoming '24' Focuses on Jack Bauer Eating a Sandwich

After four years... the episode we've all been waiting for: Upcoming '24' Focuses on Jack Bauer Eating a Sandwich.

Hollywood, CA - Fox was uncharacteristically candid this week about the next hour in one of CTU agent Jack Bauer's (Kiefer Sutherland) many harrowing days. In an interview with Variety, executive producer Evan Katz revealed the next hour of this season's 24-hour "day," from 7-8PM, would mostly focus on Jack eating a sandwich.

"Many fans remarked how Jack never seems to stop for anything," said Katz. "Since the episode is the proverbial deep breath before the plunge, we decided Jack needed some nourishment."

03.14 | '24': Chaos around the clock

The newspaper USA Today has published a handy guide to all the 'memorable moments' throughout the four seasons of '24'. UK viewers who don't want to get spoiled can scroll the page down as far as 12:06PM on Day Four. I'm not quite sure if I agree with some of their choices; there's certainly not four times as many high points in season two and three each as there was in season one, which they can only find six highlights for. That's only one every four hours.

"Jack Bauer is a tragic character. He doesn't get away with it clean. He's got blood on his hands," Gordon says. "In some ways, he is a necessary evil."
USA Today also publishes today Howard Gordon, executive producer of '24', and Alistair Hodgett of Amnesty International's views on torture. There's a few little wee spoilers concerning the very latest episodes that viewers in the UK won't want to know.

03.13 | '24' in HDTV show review

'24', the Fox show we all love, is one of television's best shows. But how does the action hit look in High Definition?

In '24', Fox's counter-terrorism drama, which airs Monday nights at 9PM, the overwhelming majority of scenes are filmed indoors, not always the best venue for a High Definition TV broadcast. Whether it's federal agent Jack Bauer (Kiefer Sutherland) chasing the bad guys or a clandestine meeting of an Islamic terrorist cell, a '24' scene is usually filmed against a bland background between four walls.

If you have to save the world from nuclear destruction, Fox apparently believes it's better to do it on the cheap.

According to OnHD.TV, '24' may not be ready for the new technology. While the show still sizzles in HDTV, star Kiefer Sutherland's face looks a bit orange, apparently from too much make-up. William Devane, who plays Secretary of Defense William Heller, also doesn't fare well under the unforgiving glare of high definition.

03.12 | iGuard Biometric security appliance appears on Fox's '24'

The hugely successful iGuard IP Biometric Security Appliance will be a regularly featured security product in Fox Televisions smash series 24. The iGuard Internet Security Appliance designed for access control and time/attendance using fingerprint biometric authentication will be featured in Episode 14 that airs nationally on March 21st 2005.
Whatever that means. NetworkWorldFusion has more, including telling us which model of VOIP phone handset the CTU gang has been using (it's the Cisco IP Phone 7960G, by the way).

03.12 | God knows why you'd want to know this

Mary Lynn Rajskub, 33, who plays computer whiz Chloe O'Brian on the Fox series '24', starring Kiefer Sutherland, has purchased a contemporary-style home at a West Los Angeles beach for close to $900,000.

The house, which has two-bedrooms and 2 1/2-bathrooms was built in the 1920s, underwent a major remodel. It has a large yard and a rec room with high ceilings, a bar and a bathroom.

Hey kids, let's all stalk our favourite TV show stars! Still, it's nice to see that Mary Lynn is investing her money wisely and not wasting it all on beers and hookers.

03.09 | '24' addicts see their lives ticking away in real time

"Everybody in my family was ahead of me in episodes," said a man who quit smoking in January. "So I pulled an all-nighter on Friday. And I thought I was strange."
John Kass of the Chicago Tribune writes about being addicted to '24'
